Zara McRae Benefit Fund Charity Status

Due to some error in filing paperwork and forms to the ATO (Australian Tax Office) we have had our application for a Charity - Tax Deductible Gift Recipient status placed on hold at this moment, therefore we cannot accept any more donations as a tax-deductible gift.  In other words any donations made in past and present will not be considered tax-deductible by the ATO and you will not be able to claim them with your tax return.

Therefore we can offer two solutions at this point until the ATO approves our status-

We could provide a full refund of your donation (how large or small it does not matter)

OR

Hold on to your donations until we become approved, however this would mean your donations cannot be claimed for taxation purposes until we are approved.

For a full refund, please email or write with the following details so we may check our records-

name the donation was made in
company name if relevant
amount of donation and currency
method of donation (cheque, money order, Paypal, Bank deposit/transfer)
date of donation
receipt number

Please also state the method to which you'd prefer the reimbursement, at this stage I can only offer a bank deposit/transfer or a cheque drawn on the charity's account with Westpak.  Please also include details as to where the cheque should be mailed to, or the bank account details to where the deposit/transfer can be made into.

To all those that have been inconvenienced because of this delay and error, we apologize deeply, and regret this situation.  We will gladly provide a full refund as we feel terrible about this and we did not intend to mislead anyone intentionally.
